DEMNER (founded 1947)

Demner is a prestigious third-generation Viennese jewelry atelier established in 1947 by Lola Demner. Initially focused on selling art deco and Victorian jewelry, the company saw a significant evolution when Lola’s son, Henryk, joined in 1964. With Henryk on board, the atelier rebranded to Demner & Demner and began producing their own unique designs, characterized by colorful pieces, flexible mountings, and whimsical animal motifs. The business expanded to New York in the 1980s, where they set up a boutique on Madison Avenue. Known as DEMNER, the jewelry gallery specialized in eclectic vintage and twentieth-century jewelry. Their presence on Madison Avenue endured for over two decades.
