
LISA SOTILIS (b. 1939)
Lisa Sotilis is a renowned Greek-Italian sculptor, painter, and jewelry designer born in Athens. She hails from an aristocratic family with deep roots in Greek history. Sotilis studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, Italy. At 16, she held her first solo exhibition at the Gian Ferrari Gallery in Milan, gaining early recognition from prominent art critics and artists.
Her international debut came at the Berlin Museum, where she was introduced by Professor Jannasch. This led to an exclusive contract with the famed art dealer Alexander Iolas. Throughout her career, Sotilis created unique jewelry pieces collected by notable figures, including royalty and celebrities like Empress Farah Pahlavi, Salvador Dalí, and Andy Warhol. She also designed exclusive pieces for Cartier in the 1970s.
Sotilis’s work spans various mediums, including sculptures, paintings, and decorative arts, and is featured in prestigious museums and private collections worldwide.
