BUCHERER (founded 1880s)
Known primarily as a premier watch manufacturer, the Swiss firm Bucherer was founded in the late 1880s by Carl Friedrich Bucherer and his wife Luise. When Bucherer’s sons, Carl and Ernst, took over the firm in the early 1900s, they married their design and goldsmithing skills with their father’s watchmaking legacy to create stunning, highly designed timepieces. Bucherer is to this day known as a top jewelry manufacturer, producing work mostly in gold and diamonds. They have many successful stores across Europe—in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and France.
