biography
Sophia Vari (née Canellopoulou), born in 1940 near Athens, Greece, was a jeweler, painter, and sculptor. She adopted the name “Vari” as a tribute to her hometown. Vari’s work is recognized for its sensuality and bold, voluminous forms.
